UNLESS & IF NOT

Unless означает except if (за исключением). Unless используется, чтобы сформулировать исключение из того, о чем мы говорим.

Unless and If... not have the same meaning, but you will have to change the sentence structure:

I will go unless it rains.
I won't go if it rains.

Unless he trips he will win.
If he doesn't trip he will win.

Remember not to use double negatives in your sentence!
