Anne of the Island is the
third book in the Anne of Green Gables series, written by Lucy Maud
Montgomery about Anne Shirley. It was published in 1915, seven years after the bestselling "Anne of Green Gables".
Chapter 1: The Shadow of Change
Anne grows up and proves the promise of
her youth by being a lovable, sunny young woman. She attends Redmond College where she is studying for her BA. Anne
has many trials and tribulations along the way, including some romance.
In "Anne of the Island" the reader is also introduced to many new
characters, that in the true sense of Anne are also "kindred spirits".
